falassarnaFalasarna : On the site of the ancient town of Falasarna, merely 30 minutes by car to the west. lies one of the most beautiful and popular beaches on Crete. The size of Falasarna beach enables hοlidaymakers to comfortably enjoy the crystal clear, emerald waters and sandy beach or engage in water sports, which are offered on certain parts of the beach.

mpalos-tiganiBalos or Tigani : A place of outstanding natural beauty, Balos is one of the most distinctive beaches on Crete. The water, shallow and warm, boasts a lovely turquoise color and an exotic white sandy beach. To get there you can drive 7 Km on a rural road from the village of kaliviani and take a footpath the last 2 Km down to the beach. Alternatively, you can get there by boat, on one of the daily cruises to the area that depart from the port in Kissamos.

chryssoskalitissa‎Chisoskalitisa : On your way to Elafonisi you shouldn’t miss the Monastery of Chrisoskalitisa. Perched high on a rock this striking white religious edifice has been around for centuries.
